No doubt you are now well aware of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and would have come across the many stories making headlines across the country every day. At Vasey, we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the residents under our care.
In light of the current Coronavirus situation, we are listening to the experts and taking important actions to reduce the risk of exposure to the virus.

To prevent the spread of the virus, by practising good hygiene and social distancing.
If you think you have COVID-19
If you are sick and think you have symptoms of COVID-19, seek medical attention.
If you have serious symptoms such as difficulty breathing, call 000 for urgent medical help.

To seek medical help from a doctor or hospital, call ahead of time to book an appointment.

Vasey Activities and Visitors
- Regular activities within each village will continue at the present time. Each activity will be re-assessed on a regular basis and residents advised of any cancellations.
- External group activities such as bus outings will not proceed at present and will resume as soon as it is regarded as safe to do so.
- Any major building works will cease/not commence at this time.
- Visitors and guests of Residents, who do not exhibit any symptoms, remain welcome at this time. However, Vasey recommends residents reconsider the need to have guests stay with them for extended periods of time.
Isolation for those returning from overseas travel
All people who arrive in Australia after midnight on 15 March 2020 are required to self-isolate for 14 days.

Vasey encourages residents who need to self-isolate to request assistance from family members and/or neighbours where possible. Vasey staff will also continue to provide support to residents during this period.
